Sandstone
Obtaining
Sandstone is found a few blocks below the Sand layer and can be mined using any type of Pickaxe. Additionally, it can be created with Sand and a Stonecutter (see below for crafting recipe). It is also found in desert Villages.
Usage / Purpose
Sandstone is used primarily as a decorative building block, since it gives a unique look to Sandstone structures. It does not provide very good protection against Creeper explosions, however, so should be used in circumstances where this is not important or where you have adequate fences or moats.
Sandstone is used in the following Stonecutting recipes:
Drop / Yield
When Sandstone is mined it drops one unit of Sandstone.
Storage
Sandstone is stored in stacks of up to 64 units.
Recipe
Sandstone is created in the Stonecutter with four Sand, yielding one Sandstone.
