Objective

Students will identify and create different types of lines.

Materials

• 2-5 cm wide strips of various lengths of colored construction paper
• sheets of large white drawing paper
• glue
• scissors

Method

• Demonstration:
  • Using strips of paper, show students a few different ways of forming lines (eg. chains, folds, pleats, loops, twists, etc.)
  • Glue each end of the “line” formed to the drawing paper.
• Students follow the process.
