Obtaining

There are various types of Stairs, including Wooden, Brick and Stone varieties.

Wooden Stairs are created with Wooden Planks and a Crafting Table (see below for crafting recipe). Six Wooden Planks yield four stair units.

The following types of Wooden Stairs can be crafted:

• Acacia Stairs
• Birch Stairs
• Dark Oak Stairs
• Jungle Stairs
• Oak Stairs
• Spruce Stairs

The following types of stone and brick Stairs can be crafted with a Stonecutter:

• Brick Stairs
• Nether Brick Stairs
• Quartz Stairs
• Stone Stairs
• Stone Brick Stairs
• Sand Stone Stairs

Usage / Purpose

Stairs provide two steps over a full block height. This added step provides a smoother ascent/descent over blocks. Additionally, Wooden Stairs are commonly used as an angled roofing material as seen in Villages.

Storage

Stairs are stored in stacks of up to 64 units.

Notes

Stairs can also be placed upside down to provide a surface to store your Cake.
