Spruce Planks

Obtaining

Spruce Planks are obtained from the Spruce Log through crafting. Spruce is found in the Taiga and Ice Plains biomes.

Usage / Purpose

Spruce Planks are used alone to craft the following:

• Spruce Wooden Slabs
• Spruce Stairs
• Crafting Tables
• Chests
• Sticks
• Wooden Doors
• Trap Doors
• Bowls

Spruce Planks are also used as an ingredient to craft the following:

• Bookshelves
• Signs
• Fence Gates
• Wooden Axe
• Wooden Hoe
• Wooden Pickaxe
• Wooden Shovel
• Wooden Sword

Planks can also be used as an ineffcient fuel in the Furnace to smelt other items.

Planks also act as a good building material due to the wide availability of trees, their strength and aesthetic qualities.

Drops / Yields

Each Spruce Log yields 4 planks.

Storage

Spruce Plank is storable in stacks of 64 units.

Notes

The Spruce Log is confusingly similar to Oak in the inventory. The bark of Spruce is darker than both Dark Oak Log and Oak Log, but the inside wood is a hue in between the two oak types.
