Andesite

Andesite

Obtaining

Andesite is found naturally through mining, in caves, as well as through crafting (see below). It is less frequently found exposed above ground.

Usage / Purpose

Andesite can be used as a building material, and can be crafted into Polished Andesite by using the Stonecutter.

Drops / Yields

Each mined block of Andesite yields one block.

Storage

Andesite is stored in stacks of up to 64 units.

Notes

Typically, Stone Bricks are created in the Stonecutter with Stone as the raw material (see recipe below). Alternatively (although the Stonecutter recipe matrix does not show this), Stone Bricks can also be made from the same quantities of Diorite, Andesite or Granite.

Recipe

Andesite

Unpolished Andesite can be crafted in the Stonecutter using one block of Diorite and one block of Cobblestone.
