Making a Personalized Envelope

Objective

Students will practice using a draw program to create a personalized envelope. They also will be exposed to drawing for and printing for a non-traditional paper size.

Materials

• drawing program
• envelopes
• computers

Method

• Show students how to set up their canvas so that it will fit on an envelope by changing the page setup settings to the envelope setting.
• Let students fill up their canvas using clip art, text, and freehand drawings. You may even teach students how to use a scanner if they'd like to add already existing pictures from a book, photograph, etc..
• Place the envelope in the printer and print.
