Hodgepodge

Bubbles

Bubbles, bubbles, large and small,
Sailing through the air.
I reach out to catch one
And POP!
It isn't there.

My Shadow

If I walk, my shadow walks.
If I run, my shadow runs.
And when I stand still, as you can see,
My shadow stands beside me.

When I hop, my shadow hops.
When I jump, my shadow jumps.
And when I sit still, as you can see,
My shadow sits beside me.

Ways to Remember

Which one is my left hand?
It's sometimes hard to know.
But I have a special way
That I will share and show.
Put both hands out in front of you.
Then it is easy to tell.
'Cause when you straighten out your thumbs
The left hand makes an "L".

Bicycle Parade

(to the tune of Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush)

Here we go 'round the block again,
Block again, block again;
Here we go 'round the block again,
Bicycle parade!

Some have streamers in the spokes,
In the spokes, in the spokes;
Some have streamers in the spokes,
Bicycle parade!

Some are tied with big balloons,
Big balloons, big balloons;
Some are tied with big balloons,
Bicycle parade!

Here we go 'round the block again,
Block again, block again;
Here we go 'round the block again,
Bicycle parade!

Baseball

The baseball player is up to bat,
The pitch is straight and fast.
He swings the bat,
"Whack," goes the ball,
It whizzes swiftly past.

The outfielder has his glove out stretched,
His eyes look to the sun.
He watches the ball,
Go sailing by,
It is a long home run!

Lemonade Stand

Lemonade for sale ... by the glass or pail.
Who will buy my lemonade for sale?

This fourth holiday, my friends are away.
Who will buy my lemonade for sale?

Guess I'll try a sip. (Just a little dip.)
Who will buy my lemonade for sale?

Oh my golly-wash. Hear my stomach slosh.
Who will buy my lemonade for sale?

Seems I drank it all. So I need not call.
Who will buy my lemonade for sale?

Home

The sky is home to the birds and the bees,
Flying high above the trees.
The sea is home to the fish and the whales,
Splishing and splashing their tails.
The land is home to the deer and the bears,
Walking and running here and there.
The earth is home to you and me,
We are one big family.

Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But names will always hurt me.

Oh yes they will
They always do
They get to me
They come from you!

They bite and sting
They give such pain
They twist and churn
They burn like flame.

If I were rubber
And you were glue,
They'd bounce off me
And stick to you!

Mr. Left and Mr. Right

This is Mr. Left.
This is Mr. Right.
They have two little homes just alike.
Hi says Mr. Left.
Hi says Mr. Right.
And hand in hand,
They walk out of sight.
