Method

- Wander around from student to student and ask each of them to put their hand in the box and take out a coupon.
- Have students glue their coupon on one side of their piece of paper.
- On the other side of the paper, explain to sudents that you would like them to draw the coins and/or the bills that would be needed to equal the amount on the coupon. You may want to use play money instead, to prevent the obstacle of drawing.
- Repeat the process.
